The Centre of Voluntary Services situated in Vicenza is an organism born for representing the world of the voluntary activities constituted by thousand of people and hundreds of groups in partnership with it. But it’s clear that a general and complete supervision of the entire world of the voluntary activities in the country of Vicenza results practically impossible cause of there are thousand of groups not affiliates and not identifiable that develop their own work on volunteer themes.
The aim is that as soon as possible the most greater part of these - and if possible all - flows in the official position represented by the CSV in order to use our services and the perspectives of access that our organization offers. By this way they permit us to recognize the complete dimension of the voluntary activities

HOW THE CSV IS BORN

The institutional presuppositions of the Centre and her growth are reported to a legislation, national and also regional. - Law 266 of 1991, article 15 “special Funds near the Regions” - 21/11/1991 .Department of the Treasury Decree “Formality for the constitution of the special funds for the voluntary activities near the Regions” and following changes with a Regional decree - Law 40 of 1993 “Norms for the recognition and the promotion of the organizations of voluntary activities -Article 14 “Regional Centres of service and Committee of Management of the regional special fund” - Law 1 of 1995 “Changes and integrations of the article 14 of the regional law 40/93 related to the Centres of Service for the Voluntary activities.

OBJECTIVES, FUNCTIONS AND MAIN AIMS OF THE CENTRE

Centres of Voluntary Services are particular structures give in disposition of the world of the voluntary activities with the function to sustain and to qualify its own activities in order to promote on the territory the culture of their activities, to develop their diffusion, their own initiatives of solidarity that characterize him/it and also the most greater possible adhesion by the youth in general.

KIND OF SERVICES AVAILABLE:

- Consultation and qualified assistance together with tools of planning besides the start and the realization of specific activities
- Training of formation and qualification for the operators and the adherent ones to the Associations of volunteers - news, information on the activities of the local volunteers and of that national
- Support and direct finance for specific local projects that are promoted by the Associations
- reception, evaluation and transmission to the Committee of Management of the specific projects that have a regional character.

WHO MANAGE THE CENTRE

The CSV is the “expression” of the Associations that choose besides also the directive suggestion of it with a regular electoral consultation.
The same operators of the voluntary activities manage directly the activity of the Centre.
The CSV has anyway one fixed structure by which it answers to questions of the various groups.
In the organization of the CSV there is a principal and fixed office located in Vicenza, but the centre is now completing the organizational map with a series of other offices that work exactly of the central-one. The current articulation of the organization at the moment is this one:

Central office in Vicenza.
Other offices are located in the local communes of the interested other countries:
Office of Bassano; Office of Montecchio Maggiore;
Office of Schio/Thiene.

The directors of the CSV is now thinking about the opening of another counter, that would complete the provincial picture, to realize along the Berica Coast, also answering to a specific question of the operators of the zone. It is a project to define and for which, we need still a lot of time.

OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE CSV

As we have seen, the Centre of Service for the Voluntary activities in Vicenza consists in an organizational and operational structure that has an available physical office given by the local commune of Vicenza
The office is available for all kind of persons not only for association or specific operators, but however for citizens that need for specific in formations and techniques. It’s very more simply also to know how a person can becomes volunteer and doing voluntary activities.

The Centre is characterized also for own specific activities that are:

-information both to associations and specific operators but also to citizens.
-promotion of the initiatives of the associations of volunteer
- training sessions for the specific operators of the voluntary activities
- fiscal and legal consultation
- support for the definition, the realization and the coordination of projects of single or more Associations.

The associations have also the possibility to organize meetings and seminars and to hold own training courses. To their disposition there are a lot of technical instruments and operational tools as personal computers and printing, instrument for the transmission of fax , press releases and informative (articles, e-mail, etc.) .
